Grabyo supports SRT (listener) and Zixi (pull) protocols as well as AWS MediaConnect Entitlement for output (egress) workflows, such as taking streams from a broadcast facility, enhancing them in Producer and then sending them back using SRT, Zixi or AWS MediaConnect Entitlement.

How to access Pro Outputs

  1. Select the content menu on a Producer stream

  2. Select OUTPUTS (LISTENERS)

  3. Select CREATE NEW LISTENER

  4. Input DISPLAY NAME

  5. Select the protocol type

  6. Input IP ALLOW LIST (OPTIONAL) (not applicable for AWS Entitlement)

  7. Input ZIXI PULL REMOTE ID (not applicable for SRT or AWS Entitlement)

  8. Input ACCOUNT ID (not applicable for SRT or Zixi)

  9. Input MINIMUM LATENCY (MILLISECONDS) (not applicable for AWS Entitlement)

  10. Select ENCRYPTED OUTPUT (if applicable)

  11. Select SAVE LISTENER to finish

📕 Note: To create AWS MediaConnect flow with an entitled source use the ARN (Amazon Resource Name) Entitlement generated previously. Here you can find more details.

📕 Note: SRT, Zixi and AWS MediaConnect Entitlement outputs are only supported for On-demand Producers.

💡 Tip: Each listener that is created represents one potential SRT, Zixi or AWS Entitlement output from the Grabyo platform (2 decoders cannot pull from the same listener at the same time), so you should create one listener for each simultaneous output you need. Each listener is independent and can have a different protocol and its own settings for latency and encryption.

Pulling content from a listener

  1. Select the content menu on a Producer stream

  2. Select OUTPUTS (LISTENERS)

  3. Select the listener of your choice and MORE INFO

  4. Find the LISTENER MANAGER VIEW INFO

  5. Once the listener stream is being pulled from status, it is CONNECTED

📕 Note: The configuration of Pro Outputs can be modified, unlike its type, and this can be accomplished while the output is 'enabled'. Additionally, the new multi-select functionality allows for the simultaneous enabling or disabling of multiple outputs.

💡 Tip: Here you can find more details on supported protocols within Grabyo Pro Ingest functionality.
