This integration allows you to upload videos to your Instagram feed via the Grabyo desktop.

How to add an Instagram account

  1. Select your USER icon in the top right-hand corner of the page

  2. Select SOCIAL ACCOUNTS from the drop-down menu

  3. Select ADD ACCOUNT

  4. Select INSTAGRAM from the menu

  5. Link your Facebook account and page

  6. Select SUBMIT to add the INSTAGRAM account

📕 Note: Facebook login does not support Instagram credentials so app users must sign in using a Facebook account. Your Instagram will need to be a business account to use the workflow.

How to share to your Instagram account

  1. Select LIVE CLIPPING on the stream that you want to clip from

  2. Select a CAMPAIGN from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the page

  3. Set the IN and OUT points of your content

  4. Select a CAMPAIGN and add a SOCIAL MESSAGE

  5. Select your INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT and choose FEED, REEL or STORY

  6. select SAVE AND SHARE

Web Limitations for Feed

  • It can only be used to publish to business IG User accounts; Creator IG User accounts are not supported

  • Accounts are limited to 25 API-published posts within 24 hours (across all Grabyo users with the same Instagram account)

  • Captions will not include the (@) symbol unless the app user is also able to perform Admin-equivalent Tasks on the app

  • Filters are not supported

  • Images and GIFs not supported via the Grabyo desktop

  • Custom thumbnails are not supported via Grabyo

📕 Note: If you exceed the limit of 25 API-published posts, Grabyo will show an error message in the share history table.

💡 Tip: The supported aspect ratio for Feed are: Horizontal (16:9), Square (1:1) & Social (4:5)

📕 Note: When you share to Feed, the asset will automatically be shared as both Feed and Reel.

Troubleshooting Instagram video length for Feed

The size of the uploaded video file must be below 100 MB. The duration of the video file must be between 3 seconds and 60 seconds.

Web Limitations for Reel

  • Account privacy settings are respected upon publishing. For example, if Allow remixing is enabled, published reels will have remixing enabled upon publishing but remixing can be disabled on published reels manually through the Instagram app.

  • Audio naming is not supported. All reels will be published with Original audio

  • It can only be used to publish to business IG User accounts; Creator IG User accounts are not supported

  • Captions will not include the (@) symbol unless the app user is also able to perform Admin-equivalent Tasks on the app

  • Filters are not supported

  • Images and GIFs not supported via the Grabyo desktop

  • Custom thumbnails are not supported via Grabyo
