With our new plugin, you can now seamlessly access all your Grabyo content within Adobe Premiere Pro. It enables you to effortlessly browse and import video files directly from your Grabyo account into an Adobe Premiere Pro project. As a result, all video-on-demand (VOD) content created in Grabyo, including multiple audio tracks, captions, and markers, is readily available for use in your Adobe Premiere Pro projects.

How it works

  1. Download the plugin from Adobe Creative Cloud Marketplace

  2. Ensure you are logged in to Grabyo with your user account

  3. Navigate to the Adobe Premier Pro Workspace

  4. From the toolbar, select WINDOW > EXTENSIONS > GRABYO

  5. Select the campaign and assets of your choice and hit the DOWNLOAD TO ADOBE button

📕 Note: The Adobe Premier Plugin supports version 22.0 or higher.

Functionalities

Some of the key features that this plugin supports are:

  • Search for assets by name

  • Download an asset individually

  • View and download sidecar files for an asset

  • Download markers with an asset

  • Bulk download assets

  • Auto-update the list of assets when new items are created

✅ Tip: To download a sidecar file (audio file or captions), you'd need to click on the arrow icon on the left-hand side of an asset within the campaign view. This way, you can download separately the sidebar files if needed.

Markers, on the other hand, will be automatically applied to the clip when downloaded.

Search for an asset

To search for an asset, you can type into the search box in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Note that this uses the same search engine as the Campaign page in Grabyo.

📕 Note: Currently, the search functionality only supports searching by name.

Downloading content

Campaigns view

The initial view you will see after logging in is the Campaigns view. This is a view which:

  • Displays all Campaigns the user has access to

  • Allow users to display archived campaigns or not

  • Allows searching for Campaigns

  • Allows the user to auto-update the list, which will add any new campaigns created while the plugin is active.

  • Allow users to upload a project (see below)

Asset view

The asset view displays the most recent assets for a Campaign in a list view.

You can perform the following actions in the asset view:

  • Search for assets by name.

  • Download an asset individually.

  • View and download any sidecar files for an asset.

  • Download markers with an asset

  • Bulk download assets.

  • Auto-update the list of assets when new items are created.

📕 Note: Downloading an asset means moving it from Grabyo into the "current projects" bin.

Downloading an asset individually

Click on the cloud icon on the right side of the table to download an asset individually.

Downloading sidecar files

You can view any sidecar files (captions data & audio tracks) by clicking on the arrow icon to the left of the cloud icon in the table.

These files are downloaded as separate files, as shown below:

Download markers

Markers will be automatically applied to the clip when it is added to the timeline.

Bulk download assets

You can tick the checkbox on the left-hand side of an item in the table to select it. Once an item is selected, the download button in the top right corner of the panel will become active and will show the number of items selected for download.

📕 Note: The auto-update toggle will automatically append new items to the table when they are created.

Download settings

You can set the default download location by clicking the settings icon in the top left corner of the plugin.

📕 Note: The default download folder is /Users/{user}/Documents/grabyo_downloads

Uploading content

You can upload a project back into Grabyo by clicking the Upload button in the top right side of the plugin.

  1. Click the UPLOAD button in the top right side of the plugin

  2. In the form, enter the file name

  3. Select the campaign you want to upload the file to

  4. Select a render location on your computer

  5. Pick a content selection

  6. Click START to export and upload to Grabyo.

📕 Note: You can upload a file to a Grabyo campaign from either the asset or campaigns view. When uploading from the campaigns view, the Campaign field will be automatically filled in the form.

Currently, uploading markers and sidecar files directly from Adobe into Grabyo is not supported.

The frame rate and resolution are predefined based on the selected Campaign and cannot be modified.

After completing the form and clicking save, you can check the upload status in the transfer manager window.

Transfer manager

The transfer manager can be found by clicking the cloud icon in the top toolbar. The icon will change depending on whether there are active downloads/uploads or not.

The transfer manager opens up a table displaying the status of all current and past uploads and downloads for the current session. The user can also stop a download or upload from this view.
