Uploading media assets


You are able upload and edit videos, images and audio files to your composition. These can be existing Grabyo clips, desktop files or content stored in Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. Once you have uploaded an asset you can edit its size, position and volume using the settings menu. Please see below for the uploading and editing process. 


Uploading

  1. Select the ADD MEDIA button
  2. Select MEDIA FILE to add a file from your desktop or the web, or select VIDEO ASSET to add a file from a Grabyo campaign
  3. Drag and drop a file into the upload area, or select to import from a web storage platform
  4. Once your file has uploaded, select SAVE to complete the process



Editing size and position 

Once you have uploaded an image or video file, open the settings menu to edit the size and on-screen position of your file.

  1. Locate the file you want to edit
  2. Select the SETTINGS icon or right-click an asset to open the the menu, and select SETTINGS
  3. In the settings panel, edit the X POSITION and Y POSITION to change the on-screen position
  4. Edit the WIDTH and HEIGHT to change the size of your file



Editing volume

Once you have uploaded a video or audio file, open the settings menu to edit the volume of your file. 

  1. Locate the file that you want to edit
  2. Select the SETTINGS icon or right-click an asset to open the the menu and select SETTINGS
  3. In the settings panel, use the slider to update the volume of your file

Transitions

To add a professional feel to your composition, you can add transitions to your files. We have added the below transitions as standard, and will be adding even more in the near future. When in the transitions view, you can hover your mouse over a transition to see a preview. 


  1. Select the ADD MEDIA button
  2. Select TRANSITION from the right hand panel 
  3. Drag and drop your chosen transition on or between your files
  4. Select the transition in your timeline
  5. Drag the left and right panels to increase or decrease the duration of your transition


Titling

Titling allows you to add captions and text to your composition, to give the viewer added context when watching your video. We have added the below titling templates as standard, and will be adding more in the near future. 



  1. Select the ADD MEDIA button
  2. Select TITLING from the right hand panel 
  3. Drag and drop your template onto your timeline
  4. Select the SETTINGS icon or right-click on your template to open the the menu and select SETTINGS
  5. Edit the TITLE HEADING and SUBTITLE to update your caption
  6. Use the colour pickers to edit the font colour and background colour

Please note: You cannot currently edit the font, size or positioning of your titling. These are features that are currently being worked on and will be released soon. 


Saving and exporting

Your composition is continually saved in the cloud so you can easily recover it, even if your computer breaks. Once you have finished creating your composition, you can export this to any of your chosen social platforms as per below.


  1. Select the EXPORT button
  2. Select a campaign from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the page
  3. Add a SOCIAL MESSAGE
  4. Type the '@' symbol to begin adding a mention, find out more here.
  5. Add a TITLE
  6. Add a DESCRIPTION
  7. Select which social accounts will publish your content
  8. Select SHARE to publish your clip to the selected social accounts

If you want to save a clip directly to your campaign without sharing it, deselect all social account and select the SAVE button.
