Basics

Setting up your source streams for use in Grabyo Studio is easy. Grabyo supports 2 ways ingesting of live streams:

  1. Pull source (A publicly accessible URL of a HLS or RTMP stream that Grabyo can pull from)
  2. Push source (A RTMP or RTMPS stream that can be pushed from an encoder to a Grabyo Ingest)

You can find more details of each below.

Pull source

Pull sources are publicly accessible URLs (HLS or RTMP) in which Grabyo can use as the source for live clipping and live streaming.

To set up your Pull source in Grabyo Studio, simply select the 'Pull' source type and copy paste the URL into the input box to save changes. This will trigger Grabyo to start pulling from the source URL provided for use in live clipping and live streaming.

Push source

Push sources are RTMP or RTMPS streams that an encoder can push to Grabyo Ingests, that can be used for live clipping and live streaming. For more information about Push sources, please read this doc.

To set up your Push source in Grabyo Studio, simply select the 'Push' source type and choose the 'ingest' your encoder is pushing to and save changes. This will trigger Grabyo to use the stream that is pushing to that specific ingest, for use in live clipping and live streaming.
